Elevator Maintenance Award – Morristown, NJ
Independence Elevator Company has been awarded the elevator maintenance contract for this stunning residential property located in Morristown, New Jersey. So pleased to once again partner with Taylor Management Company, a premier property management company in New Jersey.
The Residences at Vail Mansion were built in 2012 are located in the two new side buildings adjacent to the historic mansion in the center. The Residences consist of 36 luxury condominium units, a fitness center, clubhouse and multimedia theater.
This property combines three things that we here at Independence Elevator Company love: history, great food and of course, elevators.
The center building, known as the Vail Mansion, was built by Theodore Vail, one of the pioneers of the telephone industry and former President of AT&T. Construction of the mansion was completed in 1919, but tragically, Theodore Vail never lived there. He died in 1920, just after the building’s completion. The building was home to Morristown’s Municipal Offices from 1922 until the early 2000’s.
It is now home to the Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen, a noted upscale dining establishment that specializes in seasonal and artisanal cuisine.
